Kata is 18 years old, born on June 19 2007, and is 5'10". She is mostly right-footed and plays in the center of midfield.

Kata moved to Fram Soccer Club in the autumn of 2024. She has been a regular in the team since the beginning of the season and has put in excellent performances in midfield.

Her original club was Stjarnan Soccer Club where she played from 2014 to 2024. In 2023 Kata was captain of Stjarnan's U-20 team and for other younger teams at Stjarnan for several years. During the 2024 season she broke into the first team of Stjarnan and was involved in 7/21 matches in The Premier League. Kata moved to Fram Soccer Club in October 2024 with Fram playing for the first time in a while in the Premier League.
